FIFA


FIFA is an international football federation. FIFA was founded in Paris on 21st of May 1904. FIFA was founded by some of national association such as Belgium, Denmark, France, Netherland, Portugal, Spain (represented by Madrid FC because the Spanish football association was not created until 1913), Sweden, Switzerland, and the last national association that declared its intention of affiliating is Germany (declared trough a telegram).

The headquarters of FIFA is in Zurich Switzerland. FIFA is a parent organization for six football confederation in all around the world. The association of FIFA is such as AFC (Asian Football Confederation, CAF (Confederation of Africanian Football), CONCACAF (Confederation of North America, Central America and Caribbean Association Football), CONMEBOL (South America Football Confederation), OFC (Oceania Football Confederation), and UEFA (Union of European Football Association).
AFC is a football confederation in Asia region. AFC was founded on 8th of May 1954 and the headquarters of AFC is in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. CAF or Confederation of Africanian Football is Located in Egypt and CAF was founded in 1957. CONCACAF was founded on 1961. CONCACAF is located in New York, United States of America with 40 members association.

CONMEBOL was founded in 9th of July 1916, and CONMEBOL is the oldest football confederation than five other football confederations. OFC is a football confederation in Oceania region. OFC was joined to FIFA in 1966 and the member is 14 nations. UEFA or Union of European Football Confederation is the bigger and famous football confederation in the world after FIFA.

As the organization of football that served worldwide region, FIFA also held a worldwide competition. FIFA World Cup is a competition that held by FIFA since 1930 until now. FIFA World Cup is the most famous and most successful competition that held by FIFA. FIFA as the international football federation is trying to unite all nations in the world using football as the media.
